To discuss strategies with respect to collective bargaining with the Police Union since an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining position of the Town and to discuss the discipline or dismissal of, or complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual.

Announcements
The Maquan School Building Committee invites the public to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Maquan School. There will be tours of the school. Building Committee members and the architect will be on hand to answer questions. Rendering of the proposed project will be on display. The public is encouraged to attend.
Town Clerk’s office will be closed on Friday, Sept. 20th and Friday, Sept. 27th
The Board of Registrars will hold a special voter registration on Friday, Sept. 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. which is the last day to register to vote at the October Special Town Meeting. Any citizen may register to vote at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
The Town Clerk wishes to remind dog owners to license your dogs by Monday, September 30th to avoid the $25.00 late fee.
Hanson Historical Society will be holding its Annual Harvest Fair and Yard Sale on Saturday, Sept. 21st from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Olde School House on Main Street. Rain date is Sept. 22nd.
The First Congregational Church at 639 High Street will be hosting its 5th Annual Flea Market on Saturday, Sept. 21st from 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. Vendors are welcome $35 per space (tables not included) This will be an outside event with limited indoor spaces.~For more information call Marc Linn at 781-293-7524 or Karen at 781-293-7997.

Whitman Hanson Education Foundation is sponsoring its the seventh annual Kids Fitness Festival on October 5th from 11-2 (rain or shine) at the Whitman Hanson Regional High School. There will be free healthy food samples, a DJ, performances, a moonwalk, police cars, a fire truck, parachute games, face painting, crafts, obstacle courses and much more all for $5 per person.
